Can you have faith in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an important part of western society and many people grew up with this magical icon. Recently I came upon the notion that Santa represents a unique archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is defined as an inherited memory represented inside the mind with a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching of these symbolic images of this dear old man I realized that which Santa Claus represents may also be used to motivate us in creating for that new year. I see him as a fun-loving guy which brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes come true. In this season we are packed with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the fun of being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, as well as the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I find that santa visits our house reflects several archetypes. He can be seen from the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as feel that a much better day lies ahead. He or she is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith along with the trust that every is going to be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not from the exercise of power this is the motive, nevertheless the drive to bestow care on those who want it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He or she is about giving to others fulfilling their needs. And the man will not require anything in turn except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He is apparently a powerful guy, settling on who gets a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. When we are great and in case we feel, Santa will ensure we get everything you want.
An important facet of Santa’s story is the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney from the touch of his nose along with his yearly trek world wide. And besides that, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and love to all, one child’s heart at any given time. Santa may be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to find new methods of dealing, being and succeeding.
When we are coming up with our dreams, our visions, and our options for 2010, let’s all remember to use our Santa Claus model along with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you may have selected after which more clearly defined your options in creating your 2010 Journey, use this strategy to shift your beliefs and allowing of this that you simply desire.
Sometimes merely the subtle shift from viewing our images from an adult facet of seeking to force, worrying over and wondering how things will alter, towards the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. A vital part of the ability of Allowing is always to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to open to the Infinite Probabilities of the Universe.
Then too, we could liken Santa’s management skills to some universal manager. Is it possible to envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, in just one night? And all of by the due date and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe are capable of doing for all of us, once we transform it to God/Source. Within the book “Ask & It Can Be Given” one of many Proven Processes is catchusanta it to the manager. Since we set our goals, it’s like delegating to a Universal Manager. And also as we take a step back, and permit the Universe set things in position, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not giving up choices, we’re merely turning over every detail and creating our choices.
I urge you to target giving onto your Universal Manager all the things you really feel you have to do during this holiday week. You’ll find it amazing that when we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve carried this out personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all of the chores I feel I have to do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, and some just don’t seem very important. I’ve had instances when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to accomplish several of the baking. I’ve learned to accept help and reply using a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in most facets of life, not merely the holidays. Legislation of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that needs to afflict bring me my desires, Now.
